On Sunday evening, January 17, 2010, two hundred guests gathered at Temple Israel of Lawrence to celebrate the marriage of David Stecker and Ariana Gordon. Representative of the couple, the affair incorporated traditional Jewish customs with modern accents. The elegant sanctuary was classically decorated with a simple draped Chupah, candlelight and rose petals lining the aisle. The wedding party, in a cascading stream of blues, preceded the Bride, escorted by the mother and father, down the aisle, as the Groom waited excitedly for his wife to be.

Following the ceremony, guests stopped to take photos in front of a step n’ repeat, a tribute to the bride’s ties to the nightlife scene, which showcased the bride and groom’s monogram, wedding date and names. The exotic drink line decorated the stairs leading up to the cocktail lounge, and guests were blown away as the doors opened to the cocktail hour which resembled a chic NYC restaurant. Morrell Caterers went above and beyond, showcasing foods from every corner of the world; from to Chinese to Fusion, from Mediterranean to Indian, this cocktail hour had something for everyone.

Traditional Israeli dancing, complete with a few surprises, signaled the beginning of dinner. The biggest surprise of the night was saved for the Bride, when the Groom picked up a microphone to serenade her halfway through their first dance. Tradition broke soon after the cutting of the five-tiered, rose embellished cake, when the doors between the ballroom and cocktail lounge opened, giving way to “Club S”. The Bride and Groom lead the way from dinner to the after-party, dancing their way through the doors to the Black Eyed Pea’s “I Gotta Feeling”. The cocktail lounge, which had previously hosted the cocktail hour, had been transformed to resemble a nightclub, complete with bottle service, reserved table signs and the hottest new dance music. With a wide assortment of desserts from truffles to a carnival themed spread, the dessert café had guests acting like kids in a candy shop. Flowing from traditional to modern, this night truly encompassed the spirit of the Bride and Groom
