When MJE Downtown wanted to start a new summer event, they made just one call, to Iris Fields. MJE Downtown knew that they wanted to host an amazing cocktail party that would wow the guests and help raise money for their organization.
From day...
...to night! Highbar's rooftop oasis was the perfect Manhattan backdrop
Perched on top of one of Manhattan’s most exclusive rooftop lounges, 200 young Jewish professionals got together for the Manhattan Jewish Experience’s Summer Soiree. Highbar’s fashionable roof deck and cabanas with stunning views of New York City’s West Side provided the perfect location for the hipster downtown crowd.
The open bar brought in an early crowd, eager to celebrate the end of the work day. Guests stayed for the sunset and great company, not to mention the fabulous donuts from Holey Kreme, and kept the event going for several hours. The raffle, with hot-ticket items such as a night in Atlantic City and tickets to a Black Eyed Peas concert, kept things interesting while guests mixed and mingled on a little oasis in the heart of Manhattan.

Overlooking the stunning Hudson River, Nicole and Mike were married at Mark Twain’s former estate, Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, New York. Taking advantage of a perfect summer evening and a gorgeous sunset, the ceremony was held on the outdoor terrace, which was adorned with rose petals, peonies and silver bows.
Thankfully the weather held up beautifully even though the forecast predicted rain!
A true family affair, from the ceremony music to the photography, the wedding of 220 guests felt as intimate as a small dinner. The extended cocktail hour emphasized Abigail Kirsch’s catering, which surpassed all expectations, and the bar was stocked with signature cocktails named in honor of the bridal party. Themed to highlight the groom’s love of movies, everything from the cocktail napkins to the wedding programs included a movie-inspired quote or mention.
Movie-themed accessories included escort cards, programs, cocktail napkins and much, much more!
The cocktail hour and dinner had a romantic yet glamorous style with a mixture of high and low centerpieces in lush shades of white, ivory and pink, along with soft candlelight and scattered crystals. Dinner was kicked off in high gear, as the bride and groom were introduced amidst a shower of sparkles, and the DJ kept guests on their feet, playing a mix of everything from classic rock to the latest hip hop.
The cupcake tower was surrounded by different colored peonies, the bride's favorite!
Instead of a traditional cake, the couple went for a cupcake tower, with red velvet cupcakes piled high. The night embodied romance and glamour, and was filled with happiness, love and joy, with just a bit of a twist… one would expect nothing less from this amazing couple. Congratulations again to newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Michael Tiberia!

For the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association’s (HBA) 21st Annual Woman of the Year Dinner, on May 5, 2010, the HBA’s first step was to bring on the Iris Fields team for the second year in a row.

Once the Iris Fields team was on board to oversee the event, the HBA left it in our hands to make sure that every detail was perfect. Returning to the prestigious 21 Club in Manhattan, Iris Fields decided to switch private dining rooms, opting for the classically feminine “Orchid Room.”

This gorgeous room, with a mirrored bar and beautiful artwork, provided the perfect backdrop for an intimate dinner for 20 of the leading women in the healthcare industry. From the flowers to the floor plan, Iris Fields was there to make sure the night went smoothly for these inspiring women!

Congratulations to Pinkroom in South Beach, Florida, on a fantastic opening! This club with a cause epitomizes South Beach style with its varying shades of pink lighting, banquettes, and tile–not to mention the pink bathroom! Then there are the weekly themed events like Cotton Candy Tuesdays and Hush Fridays.
But we’re not the only ones talking about Pinkroom–here’s a sampling of what the press has had to say:
“We’re pretty sure South Beach has never seen something like this.” –Urban Daddy
“The world’s first socially responsible and green lounge debuts with the arrival of pinkroom South Beach. Its opening…will mark the beginning of a new era in South Beach’s always changing and evolving international nightlife scene.” –Premier Guide Miami
“We’re flush with excitement.” –Eater

Why do we like Pink Room? On top of its sleek, sultry interior, Pink Room is a completely eco-friendly business–from the architecture to the fruit in your drink. Plus, we’ve yet to hear of any other bar or lounge that donates a portion of its profits to breast cancer research and has a rotating monthly “Pink Drink with a Cause,” of which half of the price tag goes right to breast cancer research.
Good drinks for a good cause? Count us in!

On Sunday evening, January 17, 2010, two hundred guests gathered at Temple Israel of Lawrence to celebrate the marriage of David Stecker and Ariana Gordon. Representative of the couple, the affair incorporated traditional Jewish customs with modern accents. The elegant sanctuary was classically decorated with a simple draped Chupah, candlelight and rose petals lining the aisle. The wedding party, in a cascading stream of blues, preceded the Bride, escorted by the mother and father, down the aisle, as the Groom waited excitedly for his wife to be.

Following the ceremony, guests stopped to take photos in front of a step n’ repeat, a tribute to the bride’s ties to the nightlife scene, which showcased the bride and groom’s monogram, wedding date and names. The exotic drink line decorated the stairs leading up to the cocktail lounge, and guests were blown away as the doors opened to the cocktail hour which resembled a chic NYC restaurant. Morrell Caterers went above and beyond, showcasing foods from every corner of the world; from to Chinese to Fusion, from Mediterranean to Indian, this cocktail hour had something for everyone.

Traditional Israeli dancing, complete with a few surprises, signaled the beginning of dinner. The biggest surprise of the night was saved for the Bride, when the Groom picked up a microphone to serenade her halfway through their first dance. Tradition broke soon after the cutting of the five-tiered, rose embellished cake, when the doors between the ballroom and cocktail lounge opened, giving way to “Club S”. The Bride and Groom lead the way from dinner to the after-party, dancing their way through the doors to the Black Eyed Pea’s “I Gotta Feeling”. The cocktail lounge, which had previously hosted the cocktail hour, had been transformed to resemble a nightclub, complete with bottle service, reserved table signs and the hottest new dance music. With a wide assortment of desserts from truffles to a carnival themed spread, the dessert café had guests acting like kids in a candy shop. Flowing from traditional to modern, this night truly encompassed the spirit of the Bride and Groom
